Politicians Use Music as a Substitute for Science

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

Politician Al Gore continues his war against humanity this weekend by organizing “Live Earth” music concerts to promote his totalitarian agenda without the need for rational argument. It can be safely assumed that virtually nobody attending these concerts understands the science (or lack of science) behind the IPCC’s fantastic claims.

However, these concerts will likely prove successful because, in part, (a) young people are taught by teacher’s unions that reason is not necessary to live, (b) those wishing to behave morally for the first time will latch on to this, or any, self-sacrificial hysteria, (c) young people are highly impressionable by music (when I was a child, I though that Iron Maiden was a way of life).

Even though the climate has always been changing, and there are countless studies that refute claims that humans are affecting the climate, politicians continue to trumpet a new socialist/fascist/communist/totalitarian world in which government power structures control the lives of all in the name of all that is not human.

It’s not difficult to understand why politicians seeking more power love environmentalism.

Anniversary of Political Freedom

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

Like most government holidays, most people will celebrate US Independence Day with leisure activities as though it was any other day off of work. Ostensibly, the day has been set aside to celebrate the existence of the US on the anniversary of its birth.

However, as displayed in the daily headlines, people are increasingly confused and apathetic about the significance and virtue of the USA. To some people, freedom means the ability to create wealth in an inspiring way while keeping the results. To others, freedom means the ability to force their neighbors to work for their medical bills. Still others curse the US government for not endlessly stealing the wealth of its citizens to give to foreign dictatorial regimes.

So with US flags on display all around the country this week, it’s clear that there’s a critical disparity about the essence of the USA.

The USA was the first government in modern history to explicitly declare that no individuals have the right to enslave others. At a time of divine kings, dictators and tribal warlords, this was radical. Although it would take more time, and a civil war, to fully stamp out slavery in the free world (slavery is still widely practiced today), the USA set the standard of freedom.

With some exceptions, the freedoms in the modern USA have eroded with the tyranny of the majority taking increasing precedence over the protection of the individuals (helped along by demagogue politicians working to manipulate and control the tyrannical majority). US citizens are also told that foreign theocratic dictators have a right to repeatedly threaten and attack us lest our military causes a bloody child to appear on CNN.

Regardless of some US foreign policy blunders, let us not forget that the freedoms and prosperity enjoyed in the US as a result of the historical respect for individual rights does not remotely compare to the government-forced religious tyrannies spread through most of the middle-east and Africa. Our freedoms also do not compare to any secular government treating its citizens as slaves to be sacrificed in a socialist experiment.

Although generations of ivory-tower philosophers and leftist hippies have been preaching, “we’re no better,” let’s not forget the unique and essential strength of the USA: The respect and defense of all individuals, and the resulting, unprecedented wealth. That, its causes, and its defense is what we should be celebrating on July 4th.

There is No Iraq War

Sunday, July 1st, 2007

The purpose of a war is to attain victory—to eliminate the enemy’s capacity to do harm and/or eliminate the enemy altogether. The military activity that George W. Bush has ordered is not a war, yet the media keeps using the phrase “War in Iraq” or “Iraq War.”

Currently, the US military in Iraq is serving as cannon fodder for people who have no conception of individual rights. The Iraqi version of democracy would include voting for the enslavement of the opposing tribe/party, and for the death of all non-Muslims infidels. While the US military is bogged down in an endless pipe-dream mission in Iraq, the higher-level criminals in Iran are allowed to continue to build military might for a true nuclear holocaust. This is no war.

Since the 9/11 attacks, the US military has flailed about not in a campaign to eliminate Islamic theocracy in the world, but to at least “do something” in response to foreign attack. Instead of engaging in politically correct “operations” while telling those in the free world to remove the liquids from their baggage, the US should use its superior military to remove the world’s theocratic governments from existence (much like the full surrender of Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany in World War II). That, and only that, would be a war worthy of winning.

A Monster at my Front Door

Friday, June 29th, 2007

This week, a young person came to my front door to ask me to sign a petition to keep the California government from reducing funding for some kind of ‘help kids stay out of jail’ program. I was mentally in ‘no solicitors at my door’ mode so I was focused on getting her to go away.

I told her that my taxes were already much too high. She replied that this wasn’t a tax increase, but rather a petition to keep the program from being cut (!) I told her that I would support most any tax cuts to lower my tax burden. She replied that I’d end up having to pay more for these kids in prison if I didn’t pay now (was that a threat?). Still treating her as an uninvited solicitor, I just told her goodbye.

After shutting the door, I realized that a monster had just visited me and that I should not have let her get off that easily. Not that my words to her would have swayed public policy, but in the name of justice, her true identity should have been put on display for her to witness. I’ll explain:

Governments have a monopoly on the use of force. They are necessary to maintain law and order. Those living under their jurisdiction don’t have the legal or military means to disagree their laws. If some people didn’t agree with a government-imposed tax or ban on liquor, they would be forced in to submission at the point of a gun or tanks if necessary.

Therefore, to preserve freedom, governments must be limited to the role of preserving everyone’s right to be left alone to pursue goals and happiness; i.e., to be protected from others’ initiation of force–whether it be in the form of street gang extortion or fraudulently stealing one’s earnings or foreign plunderers.

However, like many people, this young lady wishes to utilize the government’s guns to force other citizens to pay for their chosen charities and programs. She doesn’t follow the golden rule of utilizing voluntary free trade by trying to convince me to freely donate to her cause. Instead, she seeks to round up enough people to turn our democratic government in to an agent of forced charity. The government would then reverse its role of protector of individual rights, and become the aggressor: treating individuals as slaves to fulfill the desires of a simple majority—regardless of whether the simple majority is creating the wealth that is extorted.

So even though the person at my front door has built layers of obfuscations on to her presentation, her honest solicitation should have been: “Citizen. I support this charity. Please join me in taking control of the government’s guns to steal wealth from other citizens (whether or not they agree with the purpose or execution of this charity) for my charity. But don’t worry; I see by your meager property that the government won’t steal too much from you. Instead, the government will steal most from those people who have created the most wealth.”

I apologize for this long post, but I must expound on one more point. What prods this person at my door to behave this way?

She obviously thinks it’s right and even moral. I’m almost certain that she’s righteously practicing the false moral of altruism: sacrificing one’s values ostensibly for the benefit of others (especially non-human these days). I make this point to illustrate how evil altruism really is because it’s not a personal choice—those who treat it like a virtue invariably choose to impose it on others because, after all, why shouldn’t all people be “moral?” Those who honor altruism are the first to “help” others sacrifice their values by force. In this case, it’s taking control of the government’s guns to force others to “give” their earned wealth away (it’s not so important where it goes, just as long as it’s “given”).

At my front door, I should have at least held up a mirror so that this person could see the monster she really was.

Iran is STILL Developing Nuclear Jihad

Monday, June 25th, 2007

This week, as the media focuses on immigration, the Iraq fiasco, affirmative action, the miscellaneous murder and/or fire, and the 2008 presidential candidates, Iran still continues to develop doomsday nuclear weapons with no meaningful opposition from the west.

Apparently, it will require more than the murder of thousands of New Yorkers to prod the US leaders and public to take action. Unfortunately, in today’s altruist and PC culture, an entire US city will have to be sacrificed with a body count over 50,000 before the war on terror is taken seriously—before totalitarian theocracies like Iran are treated like the murderous thugs they are and are no longer tolerated. Waiting for Iran to go nuclear before dismantling their religious government will be far more destructive on all sides.

Capitalist Makes World A Better Place

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

I haven’t written in a while mainly because I’ve been spending almost all of my time remodeling and updating my kitchen. I’m planning on selling the house soon and moving out of California where the taxes are high and the environmentalism is rampant. So my motivation is to not only enjoy the rest of my time living here, but to fetch top dollar by improving the home’s value.

The though crossed my mind of how wonderful capitalism is compared to any other system. I own my property and get financial rewards if I work to improve it. This selfish financial motivation has inspired many people to create new wealth to trade with others.

If I did not own my property or if the housing market was controlled by some government “fairness” agency, I would put my efforts in to something that I did own, and the world would still have a house with an old stinky kitchen.

Instead, because of capitalism, my house will be made better for someone else to enjoy.

Immigration: Come to the US to Consume the Unearned

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007

The US continues to attract huge numbers of immigrants. This is certainly largely due to the relative freedom enjoyed in the US: free economies beget more wealth. The Central and South American source nations of most US immigrants are typically more Marxist in which some ruling party/union/junta righteously controls the economic laws to suit its goals. This leads to poor economic conditions and an exodus of people to the US.

However, the US has long used protectionist policies to keep would-be immigrant workers from competing for union jobs. This gave rise to quotas which limit the number of people allowed to enter the US to work or eventually choose to become a citizen. This, of course, has given rise to the “illegal immigrant” phenomenon: people enter the US in spite of the quotas, and there aren’t enough police or military to stop the flow.

Aside from checking people for nefarious intentions, disease, or criminal records, the US borders should allow people to enter to work, conduct business, vacation or live under US laws for as long as they wish.

However, there is a catch that normally wouldn’t be a problem in a free society: Socialism.

Because the mixed US economy is wrought with so much socialism (stealing from those who do to give to those who don’t), the effect of open immigration tends to strain the US economy. If the US put a stop to all social programs (e.g., handouts, subsidies, free health care, free education, etc.), then people would only come to earn a living by freely trading goods and labor with others, not to consume the unearned wealth that other individuals created.

To solve the immigration fiasco, the US should first stop all handouts for both citizens and non-citizens. Then, repeal the limits on immigration (but check the people that do immigrate) and enjoy the increased wealth from the influx of people wishing to earn a living in a free economy.

Our 2006 tax bill is $26,546.

Saturday, April 7th, 2007

For our family’s productivity in 2006 alone, we are forced/extorted by the US governments to pay a total of $26,546 (twenty-six thousand, five hundred and forty-six dollars). This does not include any sales taxes, hidden taxes included in our utility bills and other goods and services we purchased, or our time spent keeping records to defend ourselves. This was based on an adjusted gross income somewhere in the low $80,000’s. We paid a CPA an additional $600 to try to understand the bizarre IRS laws, and prepare our taxes.

Our federal portion was $14,595, and our state (California) portion was a surprisingly low $1,115. Our Medicare bill was $600, our Real Estate taxes were a whopping $7,314 (on a 1500 sq.ft. home, and we don’t even have any children), our social “security” bill was $2,564, and our state disability insurance bill was $331.

Other people may see these numbers and think I got off pretty easy, while others will be shocked at how much their neighbors are being attacked. We are not criminals or charity cases, so we do not burden society at all, but rather create wealth and improve it.

It should be obvious to everyone that the US governments have ballooned way beyond their proper purpose, and all productive people are being bled to pay others entitlements for making bad life choices. Even though the US is still the freest country in the world (based on the respect for individual rights), it’s no excuse for some US citizens to eat/farm/enslave/persecute other people.

Governments have a monopoly on the use of force. If I were to refuse to pay even a portion of my taxes, I would eventually be shot and killed if I tried to defend my earned property or myself against incarceration. This is why I pay my taxes.

Yet I find it incredible that US citizens keep supporting raising taxes over the years. It’s obvious that many politicians convince people that the cause of their (relative) poverty is the “rich” (defined as anyone who makes 10% more than you), and that they have the moral (via Kant and Marx) right to attack the wealth that others have created.

Please spend a few minutes and add up your withholding and tax bill to understand how much you’re getting penalized for creating wealth for others to consume. Please vote for any and all tax reductions, and don’t allow any further tax increases.

Marxist Totalitarianism is Still Deemed Moral

Sunday, March 18th, 2007

I’ve always heard that the LA Times was a liberal newspaper, but I was still shocked to read the Marxist ideals featured at the front of today’s LA Times “Current” (editorial) section.

The theme of one article was that the “super-rich” are not giving away enough of their wealth (complete with typical cartoon caricatures of fat disgusting rich people). I suppose a Marxist doesn’t believe that people should “own” anything and that other people in power should decide on their sustenance. Given this false ideal, it logically follows that rich people are, by definition, stealing from those who deserve it (those whose only qualification is that they didn’t create the wealth that they consume).

In the real world, people have free will and choice. People can choose to focus, read books, save money, become wiser, create more wealth, and invest in other wealth-creating entities. Just as easily, people can choose to unfocus, drink beer, play video games, spend more than they make, and have children while being financially destitute.

To a Marxist, the people who choose the lazy path are more deserving of wealth than those who create it. Furthermore, those who create the wealth deserve to be forced to work more, and have more stolen away. It’s no wonder that the Soviet Union was such an abysmal wasteland.

In a society, people can deal with one another by voluntary choice and free trade (capitalism) or force (fascism, Marxism, socialism, etc.). The proponents of Marxism in particular believe that those in power should control (force) who works in what profession and how much wealth these people deserve to keep according to their twisted anti-reality morals. In practice, this ideology has always lead to misery and purges.

In a just system, people should be allowed to keep that which they created. For without them, their hard work and choices, the wealth would not exist in the first place.

The Great Global Warming Swindle Documentary

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

This BBC channel-4 television program IS a “must see.”

As the global warming (GW) bureaucracy marches toward installing world socialism and tearing down the wealth creating factories, this documentary will show how this GW machine works, that the movement is political and not so interested in reality, and the endless manipulations that are being put on the public every day.IPCC created global warming?

It will at least prod some people to WAKE UP and start questioning the unquestioned, thus realizing that human-caused global warming is actually a rather bizarre claim when presented with all of the data.

If you love science, technology, and modern quality of life in the developed world, you should start paying attention because this GW movement is one manufactured/fertilized environmentalist tactic in the war against humanity.
